granny squares

Another group of granny squarists ready to take on the world after Brown Owls this morning, hoot!

After a fabulous granny square session at Brown Owls last weekend I thought I'd share some granny square goodness I came across on my travels.

Granny square flowery coaster one of the Owls made today, cute!
And this sweet little flowery granny square coaster was made at the Brown Owls meet up and gifted to me by Needa, hehe :)

If you're in Brisbane and you want to learn to granny get on the Brown Owls craft group mailing list.
(There's loads of other Brown Owls chapters in all parts of the world too!)

Happy Grannying!

blue caravan @ finders keepers sydney

If you're heading to the Sydney Finders Keepers today keep an eye out for a few little edward & lilly treasures on the blue caravan stall.

Sew & Tell, Bangalow

Did you go to Sew & Tell? I did and it was awesome, Bangalow is already super cute to visit but this clever little market full of clever people really topped it off (you better go like their Facebook page so you know when it's on again).

While there I came across Jo of Olive and the Volcano and was blown away by how original and talented she is. Jo's blog is incredibly beautiful and her work is a huge testament to how inspiring the inland forest areas of Northern NSW are. She cleverly composes and binds found paper of varying textures in the most beautiful way I've seen in a while. The photos don't do it justice, you really need to see them in person.

P.S. Don't tell country boy how much I crap on about how cute, awesome and inspiring Nth NSW is, he's already giving me a hard time about giving up my city ways ;)
