I don't get as much time to create as I used to but for the last week I've been working on a lil pendant order, tiny stitches followed by some jewellery assembling, so nice to step away from the laptop for a bit of creative R&R, here's to orders for forcing me back into le craft room :)

This Saturday morning I'll be doing the I Heart Etsy panel thang at the BrisStyle info session.  Other super talented crafty business peeps on the panel are:

Speaking of hoots (sorry, couldn't resist), Brown Owls follows straight on from the info session at 1pm (same venue) and we'll be making the cutest little macramé owl brooches with marketing mastermind Sarah Rossiter (of previous BrisStyle info session fame). InstaWHAT!?! It's true I've been hiding in a cave when it comes to discovering the funnest and coolest and most time wasting app eva! Instagram is totally my new love and keeps me well occupied while waiting for coffee, on public transport or when peeps are running late (oh, hang on that's me, teehee).
This is my niece doing her best bird beak impersonation (try it for yourself, I have and I just can't do it, she's so talented) and you can find me on Instagram under edwardandlilly.

lorelei's pendant tutorial

Recently a lovely blogger and beader Lorelei Eurto purchased one of my embroidered pendants to create the stunning piece above. You can check out the tutorial to make the same necklace on Lorelei's blog here.

I've also become a huge fan of a number of beautiful pieces in Lorelei's Etsy shop, with the plethora of beading and jewellery shops on Etsy these days it's nice to come across work that's truly unique.

I'm still here and I'm still crafting I swear! Don't believe me? Check out a few new items in the shop as proof. Plus I'm even squeezing in some granny square time on the couch, it's a tough life huh :)  This one's destined to be a cute little blanket for niece number 5 (yes, girls 5, boys nil), her and I are due to meet at the end of the month. Yes, I've only just started this (teehee) and no I probably won't have it ready in time for her arrival but forward-thinking me has a stash of chunky chooky rattles for all the new babies in my life, one of which will keep her occupied in the mean time.
