read all about it
I'm not fabulous at blowing trumpets but just thought I'd share some recent media bits. That's me above in The Sunday Mail and my little gramophone embroidery below in The Courier Mail :)
Hope you're all having a fabulous week!

BrisStyle Indie Twilight Market
I'm super excited to be kicking off with my first market for 2011 this Friday night at King George Square from 5-9pm.
100% of the proceeds from edward & lilly sales on the night will be donated to the Queensland Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal so if you're in Brisbane head on into the City to support your fellow crafters and the Appeal.
If you're not in Brisbane you can still show your support for BrisStyle's Handmade Ark Appeal or head to my little shop where proceeds will be donated to the Appeal until the end of February.
See you there!

pantone fall 2011: bamboo
I don't know about you but I am loving the Pantone Fall colour palette, so much so that it's inspired a little hunt on Etsy for some Fall faves. Kicking it off is that gorgeous mustardy-yellow shade Bamboo.
Fun huh? If you feel inspired to get a little Pantone Fall action on your blog leave a comment with your link, I'd love to check out your Bamboo finds :)
Next: Emberglow...

helping north queensland
It's been a tough start to the year for Queenslanders to say the least, with flooding in Brisbane followed quickly by Cyclone Yasi in the North there's a lot of clean up to be done and a lot of money to be raised.
The amazing team at BrisStyle is stitching, cutting, glueing and crocheting into the night to continue the Handmade Ark Appeal which has raised $3646 to date for both flood and cyclone affected people. Check out what's on offer from BrisStylers here.
As part of Handmade Ark during the month of February 100% of sales from my little shop will be donated to the Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal including all takings from the next BrisStyle Indie Twilight Market on 25 February from 5-9pm at King George Square, Brisbane CBD.
So what are you waiting for? Get shopping and head to the Handmade Ark or my little shop.
OR even better give this post a little facebook and tweet with the buttons above to help spread the word :)

true grit
I ventured out of my hotbox of a unit last night to enjoy the super cool air con of the cinema. The toss up: True Grit or Black Swan. I figured the Coen Brothers wouldn't let me down.
Have you seen it yet? What did you think?

BrisStyle Handmade Ark Flood Appeal
Thank you to all my lovely followers who have been in contact after the devastating flooding in Brisbane. All is well with my little home :)
My shop has now re-opened for 2011. Proceeds of all sales will be donated directly to The Premier's Flood Relief Appeal as part of the BrisStyle Etsy Street Team's Handmade Ark Flood Appeal.
Funds donated to the appeal provide assistance to the flood affected communities of Queensland which includes members of the BrisStyle Etsy Street Team. For more handmade items or to take part check out the BrisStyle blog.
Please help spread the word far and wide through facebook, twitter or your blog :)
Peace x
