A slightly delayed thank you to Jess from bespoke for including my little tissue holder in the current issue, and next to so many lovely handmade goodies!

my creative space... christmas preparations

 

I've spent the last few weeks mostly getting ready for Christmas, seems early but for reasons that will be revealed soon, necessary :)

 

  

I've been combining my two crafty loves, embroidery and crochet and I'm pretty happy with the outcome so far.

 

  

Recycling the stack of saved jars into these pretties makes me all the more happier and I've already found a tonne of uses for them: tea light holders, vases, pencil or knitting needle holders, the list is endless. They'll be making their way into the shop soon.

Oh, and Christmas birds are back in all their eco felty, linen, lavender scented glory :)

I've been completely indulgent in the last few weeks and have been working on some one off embroideries for the Reverse Garbage exhibition.

The exhibition opens on Saturday night and looks like a fab night out, details here.

As well as stitching and sewing, Brown Owl-ing, BrisStyle-ing, tutoring, travelling and working this year I've also been spending my time searching for the perfect first home (or apartment) to call my own :)

It took a while but when I saw it online I knew it was for me, two giant windows in the sewing room mean loads more natural light. I may not be able to cook a meal properly yet, find half my clothes and be surrounded by boxes but my little creative piece of heaven is almost set up, I think I have my priorities right :)

I've been gettin' hooky anywhere I can this week to finish some beanies for the 100 Beanie Drive, helping to give cancer patients warm heads and hearts this Winter, organised by Jess from Epheriell. Check out the deets here.
