spending weekends in the country where everything is so blissful and heavenly it makes me pass out (yes, literally... may have been too much country air for an over-worked city girl...);

 

finding out that Kylie's beautiful 3 sheets shop has re-opened and is stocked with the most heavenly triangle crochet cushions, love her love for geometric patterning;

visual delicacies on instagram, it's been especially nice seeing what ellie from petalplum has been up to since her move from the big smoke :)

 

Lilla Jizo's healing shards and stones, I love the beach pottery owls, just looking at them makes me feel all zen.

I don't get as much time to create as I used to but for the last week I've been working on a lil pendant order, tiny stitches followed by some jewellery assembling, so nice to step away from the laptop for a bit of creative R&R, here's to orders for forcing me back into le craft room :)

This Saturday morning I'll be doing the I Heart Etsy panel thang at the BrisStyle info session.  Other super talented crafty business peeps on the panel are:

InstaWHAT!?! It's true I've been hiding in a cave when it comes to discovering the funnest and coolest and most time wasting app eva! Instagram is totally my new love and keeps me well occupied while waiting for coffee, on public transport or when peeps are running late (oh, hang on that's me, teehee).
This is my niece doing her best bird beak impersonation (try it for yourself, I have and I just can't do it, she's so talented) and you can find me on Instagram under edwardandlilly.

lorelei's pendant tutorial

Recently a lovely blogger and beader Lorelei Eurto purchased one of my embroidered pendants to create the stunning piece above. You can check out the tutorial to make the same necklace on Lorelei's blog here.

I've also become a huge fan of a number of beautiful pieces in Lorelei's Etsy shop, with the plethora of beading and jewellery shops on Etsy these days it's nice to come across work that's truly unique.
