lorelei's pendant tutorial

Recently a lovely blogger and beader Lorelei Eurto purchased one of my embroidered pendants to create the stunning piece above. You can check out the tutorial to make the same necklace on Lorelei's blog here.

I've also become a huge fan of a number of beautiful pieces in Lorelei's Etsy shop, with the plethora of beading and jewellery shops on Etsy these days it's nice to come across work that's truly unique.

let's go shopping

I'm playing along with BrisStyle's Let's Go Shopping meme this week to kick start me back into some serious blogging (and Etsy window shopping). These grogeous items are brought to you by members of the EtsyVeg Street Team where shopping is kinder to the planet and to our little friends we share it with :)

You can play along too, check out the Let's Go Shopping post on the BrisStyle blog to show off your Etsy finds :)

my creative space

Tis the season for nose blowing and don't I know it, there's lots of stitching of cuteness going on this week for new tissue cosies in production for tomorrow night's BrisStyle Indie Twilight Market. For those in Brisbane the details are all here or you can head to my lil shop and pick one up before Winter hits!

my creative space

I'm still here and I'm still crafting I swear! Don't believe me? Check out a few new items in the shop as proof. Plus I'm even squeezing in some granny square time on the couch, it's a tough life huh :)  This one's destined to be a cute little blanket for niece number 5 (yes, girls 5, boys nil), her and I are due to meet at the end of the month. Yes, I've only just started this (teehee) and no I probably won't have it ready in time for her arrival but forward-thinking me has a stash of chunky chooky rattles for all the new babies in my life, one of which will keep her occupied in the mean time.

For more spaces or to show off yours head to Kirsty's.

let's go shopping

Juliana Santacruz Herrera warms up Paris' pot-holes with some very cool renegade knitting

Things are starting to get chilly in my little sanctuary, the slippers are out and jeans are taking over the wardrobe big time. Nothing like a bit of online window shopping to cosy things up :)

You can check out more Etsy treats at BrisStyle's let's go shopping meme or even better play along and show off your own faves :)

it's twilight time

I may not be blogging but I'm still alive and kicking and will be at the BrisStyle Indie Twilight Market tonight at King George Square, Brisbane CBD from 5-9pm.

I promise I'll be back with more blogging pronto, in the meantime you can also keep up with my antics over at facebook.

Happy Friday :)

read all about it

I'm not fabulous at blowing trumpets but just thought I'd share some recent media bits. That's me above in The Sunday Mail and my little gramophone embroidery below in The Courier Mail :)

Hope you're all having a fabulous week!

BrisStyle Indie Twilight Market

I'm super excited to be kicking off with my first market for 2011 this Friday night at King George Square from 5-9pm.

100% of the proceeds from edward & lilly sales on the night will be donated to the Queensland Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal so if you're in Brisbane head on into the City to support your fellow crafters and the Appeal.

If you're not in Brisbane you can still show your support for BrisStyle's Handmade Ark Appeal or head to my little shop where proceeds will be donated to the Appeal until the end of February.

See you there!

pantone fall 2011: bamboo

I don't know about you but I am loving the Pantone Fall colour palette, so much so that it's inspired a little hunt on Etsy for some Fall faves. Kicking it off is that gorgeous mustardy-yellow shade Bamboo.

Fun huh? If you feel inspired to get a little Pantone Fall action on your blog leave a comment with your link, I'd love to check out your Bamboo finds :)
