this is... what gives me goosebumps



Walking down the stairs at Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. The thought of it still gives me the creeps.

    I was terrified there. And we went fairly late in the afternoon so by the time we were coming downstairs, it was getting dark and there were no lights (this was 8 years ago, I don't know no), so we couldn't see where the steps were! and there is no banister...and the other side is just a wall... terrifying! Gaudi is one of my favorite architects/artist, but this was not a nice trick!

    Hi lilli boo, I had a little trouble finding an email for you so am posting here. The stair case is really narrow, winding and steep plus high. But still totally worth the visit of course!

    ive been there - wow, thanks for the nice memory...i loved Barcelona & what an amazing church...from afar it looked like it had some sort of growth on it!

    Oh, yes! I remember that feeling...and not helped by being with someone who was LOVING EVERY SECOND!! Madness. Glad I did it, though!
